My Embarrassing 12-Day LinkedIn Streak (And Why It Ended)
The Real Reason I Keep Starting Over (It's Not What You Think)
Hey Friends,
Quick confession: I just broke my longest LinkedIn posting streak. 12 days. Not exactly influencer level, right? But here's the thing - I learned more from those 12 days than from the previous 6 months of random posting.
Let me share what's really going on... 🎯
What Those 12 Days Taught Me:
1. Consistency Isn't Pretty Day 1-3: Excited! Day 4-7: Running out of ideas. Day 8: Posted about running out of ideas. That post got the most engagement. Go figure.
2. The Middle Days Are Hard Found myself staring at the screen yesterday thinking "I have nothing valuable to say." Posted exactly that. Four people DM'd saying they feel the same way.
3. Numbers Aren't Everything My "best" post got 18 likes. But one of those likes came from someone who later reached out about working together. Still processing that lesson.
What I'm Trying Next
Video posts (which are way more intimidating for me). I already started just over a week ago - Day 8 today. Just showing up to share one honest thought each day.
Today's Tiny Step
Pick ONE platform. ONE time to post each day. That's it. I'm choosing X before 5am. What's yours?
Tomorrow I'll share how I'm breaking down my big goals into smaller steps (including how my original plan completely fell apart this week 😅).
Your Friend, Scott
P.S. What's your current posting streak? Drop me a reply - maybe we can keep each other accountable! ✨
